Discover Our New Approach

Mental health treatment usually helps people a great deal. After treatment, however, their options tend to involve sitting alone in rooms in subsidized housing, hanging out on the streets with nothing to do, and accepting handouts of necessities from agencies and programs.

By the time people leave mental-health treatment, they are often alone. Family, friends, neighbors and coworkers, exhausted and discouraged from months or years of unrewarding efforts to help, have given up.

In other words, just when people have the strength and ability to get a new life, the support that could help them do it is gone.

Torii provides Aftercare Workers who go to people's homes, or wherever they're needed, to give them a fair chance to start over and become real members of society again
